Hi there, welcome to Love Your Skin!

My name is Bernice Drake, owner and therapist.

I thought I’d introduce myself with a basic breakdown of who I am (so that I’m not just another random person touching your beautiful face!)

  • I love people. I care deeply about their wellbeing and that includes their body and skin.
  • I like to take a holistic approach to body and skincare, meaning looking at you as a whole. That breakout on your face very well be hormonal, but it could also be digestive issues, deep seated stress, incorrect product use etc. Treating you as a whole could also mean recommending a chiropractor, gynecologist, homeopath, psychologist etc to get to the root cause (if the condition is chronic).
  • I live in the real world and that means that I understand time and budget constraints. I will never recommend a product or treatment that exceeds your budget, or push a 10-step Korean skincare system on you if your a wash-and-moisturise-and-go kind of gal!
  • I love learning. Even though I completed a 2 year course in Body and Skincare, I continue with self study and am constantly researching what’s happening in the industry. It’s such a fast growing industry and I want to know what’s going to work best for You as well as be able to answer your questions! If I don’t know, I will be going down the rabbit hole of Google and finding out all I can!
  • I aim to be the very Best version of myself. I am not in competition with other places in town. I just want to offer the best facials/massages/Anti-ageing treatments that I can offer. I believe in community and not competition. That means that I would much rather recommend other salons than try to “keep business to myself”. There are so many talented, wonderful estheticians/masseuses in Hermanus and I would gladly recommend them if I am unable to assist!

There is so much more that I could tell you, so why not give me a call or send me a whatsapp and pop in to say hi? It’s only me at the studio so bookings are by appointment only and that also means it’s Your time with no one around to disturb!
